Fazo Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 — DRAFT PENDING LEGAL REVIEW
This policy explains how [CAMEL PROPERTIES (PTY) LTD] processes personal information under POPIA. Our Information Officer is contactable at support@fazo.co.za.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile, password hash
- Verification data: SA ID or passport number and bank details (with consent), shared with TradeSafe
- Transaction, listing, chat, and technical/log data
2. Why we process it
To provide the marketplace and Safe Pay, verify identity, prevent fraud, operate chat (including automated filtering and flagged human review), and send transactional notifications only — we do not send marketing without separate consent.
3. Who we share it with
- TradeSafe Escrow (Pty) Ltd — verification, escrow, payouts
- Railway (hosting), Cloudflare R2 (images), email provider
- Authorities where required by law
We do not sell personal information.
4–6. Transfers, security, retention
Cross-border transfers follow POPIA section 72. We use encryption, hashed passwords, masked identifiers, and server-side sessions. Transaction records retained ~5 years; logs up to 12 months.
7. Your rights (POPIA)
You may request access, correction, or deletion; object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to the Information Regulator (inforeg.org.za). To exercise rights, email support@fazo.co.za — we verify identity before responding.
Information Officer
Under POPIA, our Information Officer handles data-protection queries and breach notifications. Contact: support@fazo.co.za.
Data deletion requests
Email support@fazo.co.za to request access, correction, or deletion. Manual handling for MVP — we respond within a reasonable time.
8–10. Cookies, children, changes
Strictly necessary session cookies only. Platform is 18+. Material policy changes will be notified and may require renewed consent.
