Stay safe on Fazo
Plain-language guide to how we protect your money — and what we don't promise about people.
Safe Pay protects your payment
Protected by Safe Pay — your money is only released when you're happy.
- 1Pay into escrow. Your payment is held by TradeSafe — not sent to the seller directly.
- 2Meet & inspect. Check the item in person before you release payment.
- 3Release when happy. Money only goes to the seller once you confirm — or after the inspection window.
- Your money is held in TradeSafe escrow until you confirm the item is right.
- If something goes wrong, raise a problem before release — funds stay held.
- Paying outside the app (cash upfront, direct EFT, vouchers) removes all protection.
What Bank Verified means
A seller's payout bank account matches their registered ID number, checked by TradeSafe. Payments to them are traceable. It does not mean the item is genuine, working, or as described — that is what Safe Pay is for.
A future stronger identity check may be added later. Today, Bank Verified is the trading tier.
The golden rule
If someone asks you to pay outside Fazo — to "avoid the fee", via direct EFT, cash upfront, or vouchers — that is a scam. Report them in chat and keep the deal in the app.
